An Independent Local Business Built on Doing the Job Properly

Brunel Doors was established in 2010 with a straightforward aim: to provide commercial and industrial door services that are done properly, by people who know what they are doing, with no corners cut and no excuses when something needs attention afterwards. Fifteen years later, that is still how we operate.

We are based in Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire, and we work with businesses across Bristol, Bath and the wider South West. We install, maintain and repair roller shutters, industrial doors, loading bay equipment, fire exit doors, high speed doors, PVC strip curtains and security barriers. Every job is carried out by a directly employed Brunel Doors engineer. We do not use subcontractors, we do not pass work on, and we do not send someone unfamiliar with the system to carry out a repair.

Our engineers are CSCS-carded and City & Guilds qualified. The company holds full membership of the Door and Hardware Federation, the industry’s principal body for installation standards and product safety. For clients with formal contractor approval requirements, we are approved under SafeContractor. We are IPAF certified for work at height and all products we specify carry UKCA certification.

What Being Independent Means for You

National door contractors work to volume targets and manufacturer supply agreements. We do not. When we survey your premises and recommend a product, that recommendation is based entirely on what is right for your building and your operation, not on which manufacturer’s product we have committed to shifting that quarter.

Being independent also means you deal with the same people from the initial enquiry through to the completed installation and any maintenance or repair work that follows. There is no hand-off from a sales team to a survey team to an installation crew. Our engineers carry out the survey, they specify the product, and they carry out the installation. That continuity is one of the reasons our clients stay with us.

Every accreditation we hold reflects a genuine standard of competence, not a box-ticking exercise. DHF membership commits us to the highest standards in the door and shutter industry. CSCS cards confirm our engineers are qualified to work on commercial and industrial construction sites. City & Guilds qualifications provide independent verification of technical training. IPAF certification covers safe working at height. SafeContractor pre-qualifies us for public sector and large commercial clients. UKCA certification covers the products we supply. Made in Britain marks the equipment we specify from UK manufacturers.
